Now that I have an active job posting, how do I access the resume database?

Login to your employer account with HEARCareers and select the 'Search Resumes' tab near the top of your screen.

How do I filter my resume search?

On the 'Search Resumes' tab, you will see that filters are already listed underneath the keyword search bar. Click on the tab that you wish to filter by and enter or select the criteria for your search. You can choose to list resumes of job seekers that reside in a particular state, education category, discipline, etc... After you have made your selections, hit the 'Search' button again to display your results. Please note that filters will remain in place until you remove them from your search.

How do I view resumes listed in the database?

Once your search results are displayed, choose a job seeker and click on their row. A second window will pop up displaying the job seeker's professional profile. Please note that the job seeker is responsible for entering information and adjusting security settings for their professional profile. HEARCareers cannot obtain additional information about job seekers other than what they have provided.

How do I contact a job seeker I am interested in?

Click on the job seeker's name you are interested in contacting. From their professional profile screen, select the 'Contact' button at top and you will be directed to a screen where you can send a message to the job seeker.

Hint – if you are looking at multiple resumes in one sitting, mark the job seeker profiles that you view by using the 'Interested' or 'Not Interested' buttons at the top right hand corner of the professional profiles. When you return to your search results, those marked 'Interested' will have a green check mark and those marked 'Not Interested' will have a red 'x'.

How do I know when a job seeker has applied?

If the job seekers are not being directed to a link outside of HEARCareers, you can view the number of applications received by accessing the 'My Account' tab, scrolling down to the 'Applications' box and viewing the 'From Active Jobs' entry. Entries are separated into two categories: 'Total' and 'Not Viewed'. To access the applications, just click on the link listed under either category.

I received an e-mail that my job/externship listing is about to expire or has already expired, how do I repost?

On the e-mail you receive, a link is provided that will direct you to your employer account where you can repost your listing. If you cannot access the steps from the link provided, you can repost your listing by logging into your employer account and choosing the 'My Account' tab. In the 'Jobs' box, there will be a link called 'Active Jobs'. If your listing has not yet expired, it will appear here. If your listing has expired, then it will appear under 'Inactive Jobs'. Once you click on the appropriate link, the next page will list all your active or inactive jobs. Find the listing you want to repost and click on the 'Copy' icon to the right of the listing. The following steps will be exactly like when you posted the listing for the first time.
